In order to complete a proper air duct cleaning, we utilize professional equipment that is designed to execute the most thorough cleaning possible. One of the tools we utilize is a roll of blue adhesive designed to create a concentrated area for our exceptional vacuum tools to focus on. The tape functions as one of many tools we use to provide professional, thorough air duct cleaning services.

Hey good morning everyone! It’s Brandon with Planet Duct air duct cleaning in Colorado Springs and I wanted to describe a specific event that occurs when we come and clean your ducts. Firstly, a Planet Duct technician will go to the basement and start setting up down there. Typically, they will create access for the vacuum. The other technician will go and tape over all the return grills and supply registers in your home. The tape is perforated so it can be torn off in different lengths and put it over the grills. It is very adhesive, yet it leaves behind no sticky residue.
Air Duct Cleaning Sealing Process
- A blue adhesive tape creates an airtight seal over your air registers that allows the vacuum to be concentrated in a specific area.
- From this taping, we get selective suction and all that pressure from either our hyper vac portable or our duct truck is all being concentrated through the system to that one duct.
- Once that one is complete, we will tape back over it again and move on to the next supply register or return grill.
